Hamer houses 28 men in private bedrooms with ensuites, shared facilities, a lovely back garden and live-in house managers.
Formerly an aged care facility, Hamer is now home to up to 28 residents. Residents have a private bedroom and bathroom, and shared facilities include: dining room and lounge area, kitchen with further dining capacity, computer facilities, laundry, courtyard, outdoor smoking areas, and access to exercise equipment.
Like Carrical, in addition to the 28 residents living here Hamer is also home to several beehives that residents assist in caring for.
Residents at Hamer love to garden, care for the bees, watch movies, and enjoy regular community BBQ’s.
The building is within walking distance to local supermarkets, and one tram ride can take you to the CBD.
A large park and oval sit just across the road, which is perfect for exercise or a picnic.
