Our Team
The team at Servants Community Housing share a deep commitment to creating stable, safe, and supportive homes for some of Melbourne’s most vulnerable. Every volunteer, board member, and member of staff brings their own experience and passion to the table.
We work together so that each person plays a unique role in making Servants a place of dignity and belonging, where every resident is seen, valued, and respected. We’re here to provide real support and human connection, creating a home for those facing homelessness, mental health issues, or isolation. Meet the passionate people behind Servants, who work every day to make a lasting impact on the lives of our residents in Hawthorn and Kew.

Amanda Donohoe
Chief Executive Officer
Amanda Donohoe leads Servants Community Housing with a deep commitment to creating safe, welcoming and dignified communities for people at risk of homelessness. Her connection to Servants is longstanding: earlier in her career she worked as a live-in house manager, an experience that continues to shape her grounded, relational approach to leadership.
Amanda rejoined Servants in 2010 and was part of the leadership team that grew the organisation from a single 38-resident house to three thriving rooming houses, later adding a dedicated women’s house to meet emerging community need. She became CEO in 2017, guiding Servants through a period of significant growth, deepening partnerships, and strengthening resident wellbeing initiatives.
Her understanding of community, resilience and belonging was deepened during 15 years living and working in the Northern Territory, including time in remote East Arnhem Land. These experiences strengthened her commitment to creating communities where people feel safe, respected and supported.
With a background spanning women’s crisis accommodation, adult education and community development, Amanda holds a postgraduate qualification in Housing Management and Policy, is a Certified Senior Professional with the Australasian Housing Institute (SPAHIc), and serves on the Victorian Branch Committee of the AHI.
Outside of work, Amanda is a regular Yarra River swimmer and a passionate advocate for the health and protection of Melbourne’s iconic waterway.
She believes housing is more than shelter — it is the foundation of dignity, hope and opportunity.
