Carrical House

A Hawthorn mansion housing 8 individuals in self-contained units, and 30 single men in the rooming house.

Originally a private home, Carrical is home to 38 residents at a time. Each resident has their own bedroom, with communal bathrooms around the property.

Other shared facilities include a lounge/entertainment area equipped with a pool table, an open plan dining room and TV area with shared computer access, a shared kitchen, kitchenette, outdoor smoking areas, and beautiful gardens maintained by the residents (including our very own beehives). This is our only property where residents are permitted to consume alcohol in the privacy of their rooms.

The Manor at the front of the property holds 8 self-contained units.

Equipped with their own kitchenette and bathroom, these units are extremely popular and rarely have a vacancy. When a unit becomes available, all current residents and any applicants on the waiting list will be notified. Applicants may then apply for the unit, much like a private rental application.

If you wish to be placed on the waitlist for a unit please email tenancy@servants.org.au directly.

Residents at Carrical love to garden, and take great care of the extensive front yard. Residents also have the chance to learn the art of Beekeeping and honey-making through our own hives.
